Water Softener Regeneration Using Crystal Salt - Do it yourself at home - Watch till end

Today we will do Water Softener Regeneration using Crystal Salt. In this video the Regeneration is done for a 50 Liters Tank.

Just follow the below steps and you are done, its simple:
1. Take the empty drum
2. Get 7 kg of Crystal Salt
TATA/Aashirwad/AKAR Crystal Salt or any other brand that you may get easily from the nearest Kirana store
3. Put all the 7 KG salt in the drum
4. Fill half the drum with water using bucket or any other way.
5. Put the drain-out pipe to drainage
6. Steer the water until the crystal salt gets fully dissolved in the water
7. Turn-off main inlet valve - by bringing the knob to perpendicular to the inlet pipe
Do not touch bypass valve and outlet valve.
Before starting Salt Regeneration step,
Valve positions should be: 1.Inlet Valve :Off. 2. Bypass Valve - Off, 3. Outlet Valve: On
8. Change the knob position from Service to Regen.
First press the Knob to release it from Service(1) and rotate it until Regen(2) and then leave it. It will be locked.
9. Put the Suck-in Pipe inside the drum
10. Now switch on the Inlet Valve.
Water from the drum is getting sucked-in to the tank
All the water from the drum is sucked-in
11. Switch off the inlet valve
12. Bring the knob from Regen(2) to Rinse(3) Position
13. Switch on the inlet Valve
Draining out of water from the tank will start and water will be seen coming on from drain-out pipe
14. Remove the suck-in pipe from the drum and keep it back, as its not needed now.
This completes the Regeneration and Rinsing process
15. Switch off the inlet Valve
16. Rotate the Knob from Rinse(3) to Service(1)
17. Switch on the inlet Valve
Pressure Valve will start showing the pressure reading.
