Byrne masterfully blends the isolating terror of the open sea with the polite sadism of his earlier work, while stunning underwater cinematography captures the terrifying elegance and cold indifference of the sharks. Harrison shines as a force of defiant resilience, fighting not just for her life but her very soul against encroaching madness.
