Throughout his career, Joe Claussell has always been considered one of the House artists who puts true musicianship, soul and culture at the forefront of his music. His take on House has inspired many to inject the pure human feeling and spirit into the world of computer-integrated music. A1. is claimed by Spiritual Insurrection (Party Version). A hypnotic conga rhythm is the meat and potatoes, which make this one an essential party tool. However, the most memorable element of this track are the dreamy pads and freestyle keyboard workout.

Spiritual Insurrection (Afro Joe Mix), on A2., does what the title says, by delving deep into Joe's African roots. Yoruba congas and drums cascade along the thumping New York House beats, while Afro-Brazilian percussion, flutes and whistles fill out the mix.
