After facing all-round criticism, Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa withdrew the decision of night curfew - imposed a day earlier amid concerns over a mutated and rapidly-spreading coronavirus strain - hours before it was to come into effect. It is to be noted that the night curfew had been called for restrictions in movement between 10 pm and 6 am till January 2.
