Mrs M and I decided to visit the Plym Valley Railway for the first time on Saturday the 26th of July 2025.
Despite the very wet start to our visit, we were looked after exceptionally well by Peter and his fellow volunteers.
The station was in impeccable condition, and I was given a tour of the whole site, which I thoroughly enjoyed. As there was little movement on that day, due to Driving training I decided to put together some still images to show the large and varied collection of stock on the Railway.
The Plym Valley Railway is a 1 mile 14 chains heritage railway based on part of the now-closed South Devon and Tavistock Railway, a branch line of the Great Western Railway in Devon, and runs from Marsh Mills to Plym Bridge.
If you're in the area, then I would highly recommend a visit to enjoy the warm welcome and fascinating array of exhibits.
