Daulatabad fort is one of the old Forts in Maharashtra it was the most powerful of the Medieval Deccan ,it became famous when Muhamad Tughlaq \sultan of Delhi changed his Capital from Delhi to Daulatabad but had to change again since this area was drought prone area. It was known a Devgiri for before Tughlaq renamed it. It was a invincible Fort since it was a mountain cut and chisseled from all 360* to a height of 200ft. There was only one entrance which could be removed and it had a moat of 50 feet wide all 360 *
