So, today I'll be unboxing the Western Digital Easystore 8TB External USB HDD.

This video involves unboxing the drive and setting it up with a windows PC. This also involved installing the Western Digital utility & discovery tool, it's very useful since it allows us to have a look at the health conditions of the drive and run tests to detect any sort of errors which might cause damage to your files in future.

Moreover, the tools provide some really nice features like sleep time and automatic backup software ensures the files are saved in case you forget, and its USB 3.0 interface allows transfer rates of up to 5 Gbps.

Now moving on to the interesting part, how to get the hard drive out of the encasing and use it as an internal drive for your PC.

The tricky part is making sure to take out the USB interface board carefully so it doesn't damage anything on the hard drive.

In the end, We'll do a speed comparison of both the WD 8TB external drive, used as an internal drive against a 1TB SSD.
