Excavations on St. Catherine's Island off the coast of the state of Georgia strongly suggest links between the indigenous people living in the American southeast to the people inhabiting the Great lakes region around 4,000 years ago, and more than 1,500 kilometers away. The Jindo takes a look at what was discovered, the methods used to date the artifacts, and the implications of what must have occurred among the people living on the continent in order to establish such a long route.
