While the show was certainly culturally significant it also managed to stir up quite a bit of controversy from time to time -which isn't exactly shocking considering the fact that it was on the air for almost 30 years. From his jokes to some of the more questionable elements of his personal life, Johnny Carson was far from being perfect.
