Fishing Shell Beach in the Dhilba Guuranda-Innes National Park on Yorke Peninsula was definitely worth the visit. The road to Shell Beach was temporarily closed due to renovations to the facilities. We did not want to miss seeing this place that we had heard so much about, so we hiked around the headland from Dolphin Beach which took around half an hour. What a beautiful spot! We fished for around an hour and a half as the sun set and caught a few Salmon Trout and Mullet – just enough for dinner for the two of us. It was a very relaxing fishing session and we had the beach all to ourselves! We did not see the famous rockpools as it was getting dark and we needed to walk back around the headland to our car, but we will be sure to check them out next time we visit this lovely location.
