About Humble Administrator's Garden:

Zhuozheng garden, the representative of Jiangnan gardens and the largest classical landscape garden in Suzhou gardens, is one of the four famous ancient gardens in Suzhou. It is also the largest and most famous one in Suzhou gardens. It has been listed in the world cultural heritage list and can be called the classic of Chinese private gardens. It was first built in Zhengde period of Ming Dynasty, with an area of about 83.5 Mu and an open area of about 73 mu. Among them, the central and western parts of the garden and Zhang Zhiwan's residence in the late Qing Dynasty (now the old Suzhou Garden Museum) are the architectural garden heritage of the late Qing Dynasty, with an area of about 38 mu. It is one of the four famous gardens in China, a national key cultural relic protection unit, a national 5A tourist attraction and a national special tourist attraction. It is known as the "mother of Chinese gardens" and listed as a world cultural heritage by UNESCO in 1997.
