With a solid body, strong original drivetrain and comfortable cloth interior, this 1969 Volkswagen Beetle is one of the best and most unique collector cars your $15K can buy!

Sporting a slick coat of era correct Cloud White paint, this fully sorted and completely road ready Beetle recently benefitted from a frame up restoration which likely cost close to what we're asking for the car itself. And while its body isn't concours perfect, it is super straight and carries a spectacular shine that will look excellent motoring down the road to a VW show or your favorite local hang-out. The restorers began by stripping the car down to its bare metal and smoothing and prepping each of its panels. Once those panels were completely flat, and aligned to better than factory standards, they were evenly coated in a high quality, two-stage urethane and buffed to a high gloss shine.

Powering this sharp '69 Beetle is the cars original low compression 1500cc air cooled 'pancake' four cylinder which wears a correct H5369438 serial number and produces a perfectly adequate 50 horsepower. Based on sound and appearance, the peppy engine has been completely rebuilt sometime in the not too distance past; and it runs beautifully, creating that famous and distinctive VW gait which has become synonymous with all boxer engines. At the top of the block, a gloss black air cleaner funnels wind into a correct Solex one barrel carburetor that's equipped with a small inline fuel filter. To the left of that carburetor, a Bosch coil supplies a traditional points distributor that's equipped with fresh Bosch plug wires. And to the right of that carburetor, a Bosch generator spins above a gloss black oil filler tube that's fitted with a correct "OEL" cap and a silver, factory dipstick.

Take one look underneath this cool VW and you'll find a straight, fully sorted chassis that's seen plenty of indoor storage and years of impeccable maintenance. Both the double A-arm front and independent rear suspensions have been completely rebuilt at some point in the car's life and feature pliable bushings and solid feeling shocks. At the ends of those suspensions, traditional drum brakes are all it takes to bring this welterweight bug to a stop. At the back of the car, power flows from the flat four engine into an original 4-speed manual transaxle which wears a correct A1010241 side stamp. And at the corners of the car, silver 15 inch steel wheels spin 165/15 Lemans steel belted radials around pristine, "VW" branded stainless center caps.

Pop open the car's solid closing doors and you'll find a comfortable and stylish gray cloth interior which is the perfect spot to spend the afternoon cruising. The driver and front passenger enjoy firm Scat Procar bucket seats, rear occupants ride on a custom covered bench, and all passengers are secured with original Volkswagen lap belts. At the front of the car, a repaired dash still looks attractive despite 43 years of battling UV rays; and with the exception of a cool old cassette player, features the same minimalist readouts and accessories found in all Beetles. Below the seats, like-new gray carpet rides under a factory shifter that's topped by a cool wooden knob. At the sides of the seats, completely painted door jams and window frames contrast well against gray cloth door panels that are complete with fresh armrests, tight map pockets, black window cranks and traditional chrome door handles. And above the seats a tight white headliner frames a new-for-1969 day/night mirror. In front of the driver, an ornate Volkswagen steering wheel makes good use of the car's small turning radius; and in front of the cockpit a spacious, by Beetle standards, fully restored front hatch holds a horizontal spare tire.
