Winner of Three Minute Thesis '16 | University of Southampton

Nazira Albargothy won both the University Grand Final Judging Panel and People's Choice awards - and then became national 3MT champion! PhD student Nazira, from the Faculty of Medicine, beat five other competitors to take the 3MT National Champion title at the Vitae Researcher Development International Conference, presenting her thesis on mapping the most efficient drug route into the brain.

In May 2016, eight doctoral researchers competed in the University’s Three Minute Thesis competition.
First developed by the University of Queensland and now an international initiative, this competition requires doctoral researchers to explain their research project to a non-specialist audience in just three minutes.
