I found a loaded handgun with scratched off serial numbers while treasure hunting underwater. Called the cops immediately... 🚓☠️ after finding the gun scuba diving in the river.

You never know what you're going to find while river treasure hunting, especially when you go scuba diving and hunting for river treasure here in Central Oregon.

On this episode of Adventures with Purpose, our team set out to scuba dive the Deschutes River by Cline Falls State Park here in Central Oregon.

The scuba diving started out a little disappointing since we weren't finding much river treasure.

It didn't take long before finding a goldmine when we ran across a loaded gun in the river with 20 plus keys.

To us, it looks like a business robbery as all of the keys found in the river had the same hanging tags.

After bringing the handgun out of the river, we called the local police dispatch immediately who sent out a Sheriff's Deputy to collect the evidence.

We were expecting just another ordinary river dive where we'd find river garbage, cell phones, sunglasses, etc. while river treasure hunting.

Super stoked that today was not one of those days. We now have something awesome to talk about with a story about the day we found a gun in the river while river treasure hunting.

Plus, Kierra picked up a new pair of Vans just her size we found in the river. 🤗

Personally pulled 570+ pounds of garbage out of the river so far this year. ... 〽️

At the end of the day, even if we had not found a gun or goldmine of river treasure on our river treasure hunt, we'd still feel good about all of the garbage we removed from the river in our attempt to help save the planet, the fish, and the animals. 🐟
