Baltimore Mayor Brandon Scott spoke to reporters after a 15-year-old girl was shot near Walter P. Carter Elementary/Middle School.

Scott expressed his frustrations saying, “We are sitting here at a shooting and a brand new 21st century school with young people still in after care who are now going to be traumatized because they saw, or heard, or know someone got shot outside that building. That’s what we should be thinking about. The total impact that this is going to have.”

Scott was joined by deputy police commissioner Richard Worley and Shantay Jackson, director of the Mayor's Office of Neighborhood Safety and Engagement.
