Both Brandon Huber and Jason Lattier have diverse interests in plants, especially the aroid family, which include Arisaema, Arum, and Amorphophallus. Their lecture is about how they became interested in aroids and their meeting the late Alan Galloway, a local world authority on aroids, and Alan’s sharing his vast collection with Brandon, Jason, and others around the world to conserve them after his death.

Brandon Huber, a native of Pennsylvania, received a B.S. degree from Temple University Ambler, in horticulture; an M.S. at NC State University in plant breeding; and is completing a Ph.D. at NC State in environmental horticultural in growth chambers. Jason Lattier, a North Carolina native, received his B.S. and M.S. degrees at NC State in plant breeding and genetics and a Ph.D. degree at Oregon State University in plant breeding.
