Once told that she was not good enough, and that her dreams were worthless, TV anchor and UNHCR Goodwill Ambassador Leanne Manas has become one of the most admired personalities on South African television. Her job has given her the opportunity to achieve her own impossibles – she has interviewed a long list of people she admires greatly, including larger-than-life global icons Nelson Mandela and Oprah Winfrey. But, she says, more than anything else, it is the stories of ordinary people doing extraordinary things to transform their circumstances, that has moved her the most.
