In today's video, we will be replacing the drive belt on this 2014 Volkswagen Tiguan equipped with the 2.0-liter TSI engine. This is the original drive belt with approximately 107,000 kilometers on it as this vehicle is 10 years old. I recommended to the customer to replace it due to age, mileage, and abrasion on the smooth side of the belt. Furthermore, I will be discussing how to inspect modern-day drive belts, as the conventional methods for checking belts do not hold true today. Inspecting today's belts requires a different method of inspection. This video is a detailed instructional video along with some tips and tricks.
