Mark Zuckerberg, founder and CEO of Facebook, was awarded the first Axel Springer Award in Berlin on February 26, 2016. The newly established Award is given to outstanding entrepreneurial personalities who demonstrate an exceptional talent for innovation, create and transform markets, shape culture, and also face their social responsibility. The 200 guests who joined the award ceremony experienced unique perspectives on the life and work of the awardee, who attended the event together with his wife Priscilla.

Axel Springer's CEO Mathias Döpfner welcomed Mark, Priscilla and the guests as well as explained what the Award is about.
