On Oct. 20, 2017, WTMD once again hosted big-haired Baltimore rockers J. Roddy Walston & The Business in studio for a Live Lunch. And true to form, they lit the place up.

Here, they play "Heavy Bells" from their 2013 album "Essential Tremors," broadcast live on air in front of our live studio audience.

Roddy and the gang had christened WTMD's performance studio with the very first Live Lunch back in 2013, and have been close friends of the station going back years before (their first in-studio performance was in 2006 on Baltimore Unsigned). Sadly, this would be their final show at WTMD, as they split up less than two years later.

In normal times, Live Lunch is one of WTMD’s regular live music showcases. Nearly every Friday at noon we broadcast a live performance from Studio B here at the WTMD Studios and invite the general public to join us. Doors open at 11:30 am for this free concert. Folks often bring lunches and be a part of our studio audience.
