BOSCH GTS 10 XC SLED –  CROSS-CUT SLED FOR THE BOSCH GTS 10 XC

Описание к видео BOSCH GTS 10 XC SLED –  CROSS-CUT SLED FOR THE BOSCH GTS 10 XC

I build a cross-cut sled for my Bosch GTS 10 XC table saw. I show you the steps, the problems I had and the solutions I found.

[UPDATE] In the video I mention my difficulties getting the sled square. It later turned out that the sled was fine but that the combination square I used to measure was a little off.

My main sources of ideas were the following two videos:

* Jeremy Schmidt:    • General purpose crosscut sled
* Nick Ferry:    • Ⓕ Make A Table Saw Cross Cut / Miter ...
Direct link to the section of Nick’s video that explains the 5-cut method:    • Ⓕ Make A Table Saw Cross Cut / Miter ...

I had two main goals for this cross-cut sled:

1. As this is my first one I wanted it to be cheap and simple, so I didn’t buy any costly hardware for it.
2. The Bosch GTS 10 XC is different from most saws you see in cross-cut sled videos because it doesn’t have standard grooves and it has its own built-in sled, which is not very accurate. The groove on the sled is shallower than the other one on the table top.
So you can’t really use pre-made runners.

In the video I talk about these aspects and about the problems that I ran into and how I solved them.

Partners and “Advertisement” label ##

I explain the details in this video:    • MY PARTNER COMPANIES – What YOU have ...

I want to let you know that I cooperate with a couple of tool companies. Occasionally, they provide me with some of their tools for me to use in the shop.

But: Whenever you see me using a tool it means that I like it and think it’s worth using. When I do a review, I tell you my honest opinion.

I want to be transparent about these partnerships, however, so that you’re not kept in the dark and can make up your own mind if you think I’m in fact unbiased or not.

My partner companies are: Bessey, Kreg, Maschinenhandel Meyer, Triton, Wolfcraft (as of 02/2018)
