HOW TO USE CRICUT HOLOGRAPHIC IRON ON VINYL HTV // DIY Heat Transfer Shirt Tutorial for Beginners

Описание к видео HOW TO USE CRICUT HOLOGRAPHIC IRON ON VINYL HTV // DIY Heat Transfer Shirt Tutorial for Beginners

In today’s tutorial, I’ll show you how I made this custom shirt using a Cricut Maker machine and Cricut Holographic Iron-On Vinyl.

You don’t need a fancy heat press to use iron-on vinyl. I did this using a household iron!

One thing I forgot to mention in the video is that you should always pre-wash & dry your shirts before applying heat transfer vinyl! Shirts will often shrink after their first wash so you want to make sure it has already shrunk before applying the vinyl.

Key points to note:
► Wash and dry your shirt beforehand to pre-shrink it (or use a pre-shrunk shirt)
► Mirror your design in Cricut Design Space before cutting
► Apply the vinyl to your mat shiny side down
► Make sure there are no stray pieces of weeded vinyl left on the carrier sheet before ironing
► Fold your shirt in half and iron a crease down the middle to easily place your design
► Follow the instructions on your HTV or on the Cricut calculator (linked below)
► Wait at least 24 hours before washing the shirt
► Always wash inside out
