New 2025 Corvette Zora | Would You Buy One?

This pause in development is expected to have a domino effect on the release schedules of other Corvette models as well. Take the Corvette ZR1, for instance. Rumor has it that the Zora will be borrowing its monstrous 850-horsepower V-8 engine from the ZR1. But wait, there's more! A leaked document also sheds light on a naturally aspirated 650-horsepower variant of the ZR1's twin-cam V-8 engine, originally slated for the track-oriented Corvette Z06 in the 2022 model year.

And that's not all! A 600-horsepower gasoline-electric hybrid Corvette Grand Sport was poised to join the lineup in 2023, teaming up the standard Stingray's 6.2-liter V-8 engine with electric motors. However, with the delay in the Zora's development, we can expect each Corvette model to make its debut one or more model years later than initially planned.
