Gaia's Navel Walkthrough - Blue Orb (Part 39) - DRAGON QUEST III HD-2D Remake

00:00 Unlock the central doors North of Lanson. You can only bring 1 party member for this part. I recommend using the Hero/Heroine to keep things simple. You have naturally high defenses and can use Holy Protection to push through the area much faster.

Gaia's Navel:
01:07 Recruit Bedivere - Take a right at the first fork. Use Musk.
Return to the fork and enter the larger rectangular area with 4 smaller rooms on each corner.
01:45 Seed of Life, Prayer Ring, Seed of Wisdom & Cannibox—The Cannibox is in the southwest room.

Head to the next area.
B2:
02:55 Banishing Bell - Southeast of the Southeastern staircase.
Head up the Southeastern stairs.
03:10 Earthenwear - Inside a chest at the end of the path within the Southeastern stairs. Equip it immediately for a defensive upgrade.
Return to B2
03:41 Musk & Fading Jenny - The Musk is inside a pot just Northeast of the Southwestern staircase. The Fading Jenny is North of the pot that contains the Musk.
Head up the Northwestern stairs.
03:57 3640 Coins - Inside of a chest at the end of the path within the Northwestern stairs.
Return to B2.
Head down the Northeastern stairs. This is B3.
At the first fork, ignore the bottom path. We'll revisit that later.

04:43 Before you reach the objective, prepare for the boss fight by equipping a Magic Shield, Aerofoil Earring, and Asbestos Earring. You could equip more gear with the name "Magic" to further reduce the efficacy of Magic attacks, but I wanted to keep a balance between Magical and Physical resistance.

Chiromancer Boss Tips
Equip Spell-Resistant Gear: The Chiromancer uses many spells, so equip gear that reduces spell damage. Magic Shield was enough for me at level 30, but depending on your seed use you may need to equip more items starting with "Magic".
Prioritize defeating the Madvlad(s): Kill the Madvlad first, as it can lower your MP and defense and stun you.
Use Lightning: Both the Chiromancer and Madvlad are weak to Lightning attacks, so use the Hero's Lightning Slash or Zap spells.

07:47 Mini Medal 59 & Spirit Bracer - After beating the Chiromancer, loot the nearby chests.

08:17 Return to Lanson and swap your lead party member to Monster Wrangler or Thief (to use Padfoot).

When you reach the World Map, head past Gaia's Navel to find a Secret Spot.

08:30 Secret Spot - Recruit Croaker (DAY) & Dragon Shield - Croaker will run away unless you have a Monster Wrangler or use Padfoot. The chest with the Dragon Shield is West of Croaker.
