This is Episode 2 of my Birding the Everglades series! In this video, I take you birding across several South Florida hotspots inside Everglades National Park — Parotis Pond, Mahogany Hammock, Flamingo, and Eco Pond — all filmed in December 2018 during peak winter birding.

December is one of the best times to visit the Everglades. Water levels drop, wading birds concentrate, winter migrants arrive, and you never know what rare species might show up depending on weather, tide timing, and location.
