Anglo-Eastern | Lowlands Crimson: "Key Workers" (music video)

Check out the incredible musical talent of our #AngloEastern #Filipino crew on board the bulk carrier #LowlandsCrimson in this catchy, all-original song and #musicvideo, which was made for a national maritime competition. We are legitimately blown away by how awesomely talented they are!

As good as any billboard hit, they didn't just do their own singing and playing, but also composed the song and wrote the lyrics, in addition to arranging, editing and producing it. They also recreated their performance on deck at sunset for the video, so a total #OneTeam effort and production.

Composed/arranged by Capt. Rodevel "Dave" L., put into words by 3/O Clifford A., sung by lead vocalist 2/O Fidelito "Dodz" H. (fantastic voice!), and backed by ETO Rey P. on lead guitar, the multi-talented Capt. Dave on rhythm guitar, and Bsn Noel Z. on drums, the song is about #seafarers as #KeyWorkers and the hardships they face at sea, especially since the pandemic and #CrewChangeCrisis.

Even without a competition to motivate them, we are told the group often gets together on board to jam and make music, both for their love of it and as a favourite pasttime to help cope with being away from home. Either way, we totally love the fruit of their efforts and reckon this song should be the #anthem for merchant mariners the world over!

Respect to the crew/band for their amazing talent, and for telling/singing it like it is. We think they deserve a cool band name, if they haven't given themselves one already.
