DIY U87 vs u87AI - The Cleaner Sound of a Nickel Transformer

Obviously, as a voice over mic, it needs to be compared to the Neumann U87, and what I found surprised me. Turns out the Clarion in Figure-8 sounds a lot like my U87ai and it's really making me think that the Clarion is a far more versatile mic than I had first thought.
