What Makes Up Flood Water?

Описание к видео What Makes Up Flood Water?

In this episode of Hazard + Hope, Ed discusses the wide range of different elements that can be found within flood water, the risks associated with these and variety of ways in which we can reduce the volume and type of contaminates that end up in this mix.

We've created this video because we believe it's important to raise awareness of the significant threat that flood water can pose... it's not always just harmless muddy water! It can have a devastating impact on both the built and natural environment and be a significant risk to life... BUT... rather than focusing solely on the 'hazards' of flood water, we also wanted to highlight a range of different strategies that can help reduce the uptake, type and amount of contaminants that are found within it and make communities / environments more flood resilient.
