I Was Wrong About Arca-Swiss Type QR Mounting for Camera Gear...

Описание к видео I Was Wrong About Arca-Swiss Type QR Mounting for Camera Gear...

Back in 2017 I saw an article from a well known photographer that's big into Nikon gear. After not doing enough research on Arca Swiss with their quick release mounting system, I had recorded a podcast with my friend about it. While I generally stand by my statements in the podcast, there is a lot more too it than the single company that designed this system. Multiple well known manufacturers from tripod to lens manufacturers and especially low cost off-brand accessory makers produce equipment within the general specification of the Arca Swiss rails and clamps (38 millimeters wide with a 45 degree dovetail). It's a pseudo-standard of sorts in the quick release landscape and I think that's a good thing. As long as the main company doesn't try to hinder things in the future, I see this as a good route to go with your camera accessories. In this video I show examples of Arca Swiss type mounting gear from various QR plates to a camera cage and lens adapter that have rails within the specification.
