Pudong is a district of Shanghai where you can find very high skyscrapers. Among these the Jin Mao Tower (420.6 m with 88 floors), the Shanghai TV tower called "Pearl of the East" (468 meters), the Shanghai World Financial Center (approximately 492 m) finished in 2008 and currently the sixth tallest skyscraper in the world and the Shanghai Tower (632 m), started in 2008 and opened in 2015, which is the second highest skyscraper in the world.
Pudong literally means east of the Huangpu River.
