Stroke Drill - Nebraska Medicine

Описание к видео Stroke Drill - Nebraska Medicine

When it comes to a stroke, minutes matter. Every minute you wait while having a stroke, 1.9 million brain cells die. When symptoms are recognized (face droop, arm drift and slurred speech) a call to 911 is imperative. Patients taken to Nebraska Medicine or Methodist Hospital can be assured the proper stroke protocols will be followed which often results in positive outcomes. May is National Stroke Awareness Month. To demonstrate the health systems’ stroke-ready status, a stroke drill took place on Tuesday, May 16, in cooperation with the Omaha Fire Department (OFD) and Midwest Medical Transport.
