During the Injustice events, after Black Canary shot Superman using a kryptonite bullet, he used a yellow lantern ring to extract the bullet and killed Dinah in retaliation.

Superman was now part of the Sinestro Corps and even stronger than before, going on a rampage, killing every Green Lantern he could find and turning the war in his favor.
He blamed the Guardians of the Universe for this war and asked if they are happy to see so many people die.
John Stewart asked his fellow Lanterns to stop the fighting, but Sinestro interrupted him. He told John that the Guardians don’t care about Earth; only Superman does.
Stewart left his guard down for a second, and Sinestro used this opportunity to stab him in the back. He then carried his lifeless body over to Hal Jordan and blamed his death on Guy Gardner.
Overwhelmed with anger and rage, Hal attacked Guy at full force, ripping off the arm that carried his lantern ring.
Now powerless, Gardner fell from the sky, crashing on the ground below.
