NFL cutdown day is Tuesday and the last preseason game is Saturday, so which Cleveland Browns players needs to standout vs. the Seattle Seahawks in order to nail down a spot on the final 53-man roster?
We are in the final week of preseason football. Following the first two games, which featured mostly backups and young players fighting for a spot on the 53-man roster, it is time to see some of the Cleveland Browns' starters. Head Coach Kevin Stefanski said earlier this week that fans can expect most of the starting players to take the field against the Seahawks on Saturday.

However, it is still uncertain if quarterback Deshaun Watson will play in the game. Stefanski previously told reporters that Watson would make his preseason debut on Saturday, but as of Tuesday, it has been put on hold. Stefanski said he’ll weigh all factors, including Cleveland’s current injury issues at offensive tackle, before making a final decision.

The waiting game comes as the Cleveland Browns deal with injuries to Jedrick Wills Jr. and Jack Conklin. In addition, three backup tackles were hurt in the team's game against Minnesota.

If/when Watson takes the field on Saturday, it will mark his first snaps since Nov. 12, 2023, when Watson was hurt while playing against the Ravens. Watson spent the offseason recovering from last year's season-ending shoulder surgery.

Aside from giving us a taste of what the starters will look like, this final preseason game will also determine the fate of many younger players as this is their final chance to make the 53-man roster before the regular season gets underway.

As of Tuesday, the Seattle Seahawks hadn't revealed their plan yet for who would play in Saturday's game. However, there is a chance that the Browns could see a familiar face, QB P.J. Walker, who spent the 2023 season in Cleveland.
