First time ever using a downrigger, the release we had wasn't the best, had a small walleye on and it didn't release, next time will be using a chamberlain release which is way better, Dipsy divers we have used plenty of times. It was a pretty windy day out there, the fish were stacked up on top of each other and we had a bag of frozen shiners we took so we tried to jig them up, that was the best choice to make, still were catching them when we ran out of minnows, next time will be 2 bags :)
