Ants communicate using pheromones - chemical signals released from glands in their bodies. Other ants detect these chemicals with their antennae (those two long sensors on their heads). It's like text messaging, but with smell instead of words.

Scout finds food → leaves chemical trail → other ants follow the exact path. The more ants use a trail, the stronger it gets. Dead-end trails fade away naturally.

Calls reinforcements to specific locations (food source, threat, construction site).

Which colony are you from?
What task are you doing?
