Cumbrian Hay 2024. Kicking out the hay crop with a classic Ford 4600 & Krone tedder.

Haytime in Cumbria has finally arrived after a good spell of dry weather so it was out into the fields watching a very tidy 46-year old classic bubble cabbed Ford 4600 kicking out the drying hay with a Krone KW 5.52/4x7 tedder. The 3-cylinder two-wheel-drive 4600 was literally turning on a sixpence at the end of the rows and straight into the next row without any hesitance at all. Watching it reminded me of haymaking of old, the kind I well remember from my early teen years where I was often roped in to help. I also managed to film the baling with more classic Fords later that afternoon, more on that to follow in a future video.
