Kochi: The prime accused in the case of Rs 130 crore Goods and Services Tax (GST) fraud committed under the cover of plywood companies, has been arrested. The accused, Nishad is a native of Perumbavoor. He committed the fraud by making fake bills in the name of plywood companies. The fraudsters printed fake bills made in the names of people who are not owners of plywood companies. The fraud came to limelight in the raid conducted by GST authorities in plywood companies in Perumbavoor the other day. This is the first GST fraud case in Kerala. GST authorities had conducted a raid in eight plywood companies in and around Perumbavoor.
