Hello and welcome to episode 211 of River’s Arcade Review, my name is Ed. This channel is dedicated to the coin operated video games of yesteryear. Today I am a doing a viewer request. Today’s game was requested by the viewer Kim Haveman AKA Kim Dziuba and the game they requested was Breakout. Breakout was released in 1976 by Atari. My first time playing this game was at a Mom-and-Pop pizzeria in Indianapolis IN.
Breakout is a ball and paddle game in which you control a paddle with a dial and one serve button. The game of Breakout came out Atari’s attempt to turn Pong into a one-player game.
