DISCLAIMER: I attempted to make an unbiased biography based on Mr. Gates. However, the man in question asked me to remove, change, and "slightly embellish" some of it to his liking. I apologize for what you are about to read.

Come one, come all, to the Haunted Heights Hotel! Coming from a strange magical land, the great Poultergates decided to open the hotel for all after becoming mayor of this great city. He built the entire building entirely on his own entirely with his magic scepter, that contains the absolutely real magic of a thousand dragon breaths. The new hotel shall fix the homelessness problem, which Gates cares very deeply about because of his sympathy for the homeless, not due to it being a headlining issue in the upcoming Spectralvanian Election!
Many people are scared of Mr. Gates, due to his concerningly fast rise to power, his strange supposed magical abilities, and general imposing and threatening demeanor. It was also partially caused by the ENTIRELY FAKE* video of him berating the Haunted Heights Hotel Orchestra for not following his very specific and often impossible demands in relation to his music, which some have described as "resembling the compositional skills of a 14 year old." Mr. Gates, however, would like to make clear that he is sorry for this perception**, and that he wants the world to know it is inaccurate: he is a family man! He raises his only daughter, Psyclaunt, all by himself, without any help at all, and he plans on treating the citizens of Spectralvania the same. If he can raise his daughter properly, why couldn't he raise all 14,000 of the residents of our great city? Vote PURPLE this election day to show That Gates is one of the Greats!®

My apologies. I appreciate his funding and truly think he has great intentions, but he can be a bit...much. His idea to fill the Haunted Heights Hotel with employees he wouldn't have to pay lead to the creation of the Melodettes. I've been researching a strange cosmic substance called "Melody", which, supposedly, all souls are made of. I developed a process of artificially attaching this substance to procreated vessels, and the Melodettes are the result of this experiment. Although they do seem to have some form of will, and are happy to do all that Gates asks of them, these "artificial ghosts" don't seem to have a consciousness. They are almost like robots in a sense. However, it works for Gates, so we went ahead and produced 400. He keeps telling his daughter that they are all collectively her mothers, although I'm not exactly convinced she believes him.
