Swami Mahamedhanandaji, is sannyasi of the Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission, established by Swami Vivekananda in 1897. He joined the monastic Order in 2004 and served in its Value Education Project for two years. Then for over 9 years he served as hostel superintendent, college lecturer, and Joint Controller of Examinations at Ramakrishna Mission Vidyamandira, a fully-residential UG to PhD college for men, situated adjacent to Belur Math in West Bengal. He was for over 6 years, the editor of The Vedanta Kesari, a monthly cultural and spiritual English magazine published from Sri Ramakrishna Math, Chennai. During this period, he was the Spiritual Mentor of Vivekananda Study Circle, a student body of IIT Madras; he also served as a member of IIT Madras, Ethics Committee.
From January 2023, he is serving as the Correspondent of Ramakrishna Institute of Moral and Spiritual Education (RIMSE), a unit of Ramakrishna Ashrama, Mysuru, engaged in training students, teachers, professionals, and the general public in living the higher values. He has a doctorate in English literature from the University of Mysore and delivers talks in educational institutions, faculty development programmes, and corporate companies.
