Anhur, God of War, Sky bearer, and Slayer of Enemies (Egyptian mythology)

Anhur, also known as, Onuris, Han-her, and Inhert, was an ancient Egyptian god of war and hunting, who was worshipped in the Thinite region near Abydos. He is the mighty lion deity who defended his father, Ra, the sun god, from his enemies, giving him the epithet "slayer of enemies". He is one of the gods who stood at the sun god's barque and defended him from the monstrous serpent Apep. He is the personification of royal warriors and a protector for those in battle.
