5 Tips For Buying A Used Truck Topper | DIY Truck Bed Camping Unit

Here is my top 5 tips and advise when you are looking at buying a used truck topper or even thinking of buying a new truck topper for your DIY truck bed camper. It seems like truck camping is often done on a budget or seen as the budget way to camp and explore. However, be careful when trying to find a budget truck topper, I have experience first hand what it is like living in a 200 dollar truck topper off of Facebook market place. Did I still have fun - Yes. But it was a big hassle to deal with the downfalls of a cheap topper.

1. Buy a topper that fits the make and model of your truck
you may have to spend some extra money to get the correct topper but it is worth every penny. save money elsewhere

2. carpeted interior
Great for many things, and all-round bonus to have

3. height of the topper
chose the height that fits your needs

4. Working windows
having some airflow when you are back there is much needed

5. Roof Rack
a topper with a roof rack gives you many possibilities (and as I mentioned some toppers already have the roof rack rails installed which is a large bonus)
