QMX SACRIFICED TO POTA GODS!! |

I recently traveled about 4 hours north of my home QTH to Columbus Ohio for a concert with my son. On the way back home, I decided to stop off at Caesar Creek State Park for a quick Parks on the Air activation. The park is absolutely gorgeous with tons of activities and great places to activate. Everything from covered picnic areas to campgrounds, to a real sand beach!

I got set up quickly and got on the air. Contact weren't rolling in very quickly but signal reports were excellent. After a few minutes of operating, I had 8 contacts. During my 9th contact, my antenna fell over while I was transmitting and the radio stopped transmitting. It would never transmit again after that, so I just packed everything up and got back on the road.

While I was disappointed that I didn't successfully activate the park and possibly killed my QMX, I still had fun and definitely plan to come back to this park in the future!
