Makati City Mayor Abby Binay questions the legality of Comelec’s resolution that seeks residents of 10 EMBO barangays to vote under the districts of Taguig City.

In an interview with One PH’s Sa Totoo Lang, Binay argued that the process should have involved an amendment to the city charter rather than a mere resolution.

“Dapat naman makaboto sila. Ang tanong lang diyan is legal ba yung paraan at proseso na sinundan para makaboto sila,” Binay told One PH’s ‘Sa Totoo Lang’.

She highlighted that Taguig City’s charter clearly lists its barangays and districts, and any changes should have undergone proper hearings.
