Wet Winter Hydrologies: How do wetlands handle flooding? (PART 1)

Restoration Specialist Jess Chandler shows us how all the rain events this winter are allowing our restored wetlands to shine! Even though flooding can be inconvenient for humans, flooding is actually healthy, habitat-enriching process. Flooding happens so often in wetland ecosystems that it's very important to take care of our wetlands. They store excess water to allow us to continue to farm; feed local aquifers; and provide habitat for beneficial birds and insects that support our farm ecosystem!
