Best places to visit in Andaman :
Cellular Jail : Cellular Jail is one of the most historically significant monuments in Port Blair, as it used to be the place where British officers used to send prisoners for exile, during the period of their rule.
Swaraj Dweep (Havelock Island) : This island is the heart and soul of Andamans. Speckled with countless white sand beaches surrounded by the beauty of tropical forest, Havelock is a coastal paradise promising unprecedented luxury with a blissful dollop of adrenaline. The island is famous for water adventures like snorkeling, scuba diving, sea walking, surfing, glass boat rides, Sport Fishing or Angling, Dolphin Watch, Banana Boat Rides, Undersea Walking, Jet Skiing, Speed Boating and Parasailing etc..
Shaheed Dweep (Neil Island) : This Island is one of the most popular places to visit in Andaman, and sits about 40 km to the south of the Andaman Islands. The face of the island is peppered with dense tropical forests, coral reefs and lovely white sand beaches.
Baratang Islands (Ranchiwalas Island) : If you are in the hunt for undiscovered gems of Andaman, Baratang Islands should definitely be on your list as it is one of the best places to visit in Port Blair. It is known for its dense mangrove forests, limestone caves, Mud Volcano, exotic fauna and its ethnic population.

By Ship : If you’re seeking new experiences and wish to travel a bit leisurely, travelling by ship is your best option. Despite being a bit time consuming (around 50 - 60 hours), the ship ride to Andaman is a once in a lifetime experience. There are about 4-5 ships that run between Chennai, Kolkata and Vizag to Andaman every month.
Shopping in Andaman :
The most famous market of Andaman is the Aberdeen Bazaar in Port Blair. Here, you can shop for a wide range of souvenirs, seashell products, pearl jewellery, handcrafted items, Spices, Fishbone Articles, Timber Crafts, Shells, Jute Items, Coconut Handicrafts and Nicobari Mats.
How many days are sufficient for visiting Andaman?
You need at least 5 days in Andamans to have the basic feel of the islands’ primitive and secluded beauty.
Things to keep in mind :

Make sure to pack all your medical essentials in a single, easily accessible bag that you can carry everywhere. Carry medicines for fever, cough and cold, indigestion, headache, motion sickness, nausea, diarrhea etc. Though there are a decent number of pharmacy shops in Havelock, it is always advisable to carry your stash with you in case of emergencies.
Carry your govt. ID proofs everywhere you go. You will be required to produce them at airports, staying in hotels and possibly other places.
If you’re travelling during monsoons, keep an eye out for any weather reports that may be circulated.
