Ingredients (they're very simple)

200 gms of butter (at room temperature)
80gms of powdered sugar
4 medium sized eggs
200 gms of cake flour (sift 180gms of all purpose flour + 20gms of corn starch if you don't have cake flour)
1 tsp baking powder
Zest of 1 lemon
Juice of 1 lemon
Cold butter

For the syrup ::
30gms sugar
1/2 cup water

For the glaze ::
50gms powdered sugar
1 tbsp lemon juice

Method (it's super easy)

Sift the powdered sugar into the butter and whisk until pale
Crack 4 eggs in a separate bowl and give it a slight whisk
Add the eggs slowly into the butter sugar mixture
Fold in the sifted flour baking powder and lemon zest
Pour in the lemon juice and fold in again
Place frozen butter in the center and bake in a preheated oven at 180C for 25 to 30 minutes
Let it cool completely
Mix sugar and water and bring it to a boil
Let it cool for 5 minutes and pour the hot syrup
Let the syrup soak into the cake for 30 minutes
Make the glaze with powdered sugar and lemon juice
Garnish with lemon zest
