A person of interest in recent Davis stabbings has been detained, police said Wednesday. LiveCopter 3 captured aerials of officers speaking with a person on Pine Lane and Colby Drive near Sycamore Park. After speaking with the person for several minutes, officers were seen putting the person in the back of their patrol car. Davis police confirmed they took their person of interest into custody along Pine Lane. This does not make the person in custody a suspect in the three stabbings that happened in a week that left two dead and another seriously injured. Police in the past few days have detained several persons of interest, and none so far was determined to be the person responsible for the attacks.
