To answer these questions, next up in our series of lectures is a Fireside Chat with Dr. Madhavan Nair on Powering India to a Space Superpower. Dr. Madhavan Nair was the Chairman of ISRO from 2003-09 and ensured the triumph of India’s first Lunar Mission as well as twenty-six other lucrative missions. As Director of the Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre from 1999-2003, he saw India's Geo-Synchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle (GSLV) successfully come to fruition. Furthermore, as Director of the Liquid Propulsion Systems Centre of ISRO, he played a central role in the design and development of the crucial cryogenic engine for GSLV.
