This home has an upper-level 90% natural gas furnace, rated at 60,000 BTUs and approximately 17.5 inches wide, paired with an indoor coil. The system is part of an older zoning setup, including existing zoning dampers and control boards, which the plan is to retain while keeping the system single-stage.

The current bypass duct ties the return at the bottom into the supply at the top, with two primary supply runs feeding the home. The refrigerant line set is sized at ⅜” and ¾”, and the condensate drain routes down to the basement. Adequate conductors are present for control wiring.

While there are space limitations within the mechanical area, the unit appears removable by carefully angling and sliding it into the adjacent room. The outdoor AC equipment also presents some space challenges, but overall the project remains feasible with proper planning.
